The Live Final - Part 1 - Day 51 Highlights

Davina: Hello and welcome to the live final of Sim Brother 2010! Tonight one of the six remaining housemates - Derek, Edith, Lisa, Lloyd, Logan or Rebecca will be crowned your winner of Sim Brother 2010. But before we get round to booting anybody out and before we welcome back the past housemates of this year, it's time to look back on the final six's top final full day in the house. Get your hankys out cause I feel some Sinatra coming on!



It's the fifty first day and the eighth Saturday in the Sim Brother 2010 house. Yesterday Ted became the eleventh person to be evicted from the house leaving Derek, Edith, Lisa, Lloyd, Logan and Rebecca as the finalists.

8:33am:

The housemates were woken up by Sim Brother ten minutes ago. Rebecca and Edith are in the bathroom.


Rebecca: How you feeling today Edith, you alright?
Edith: Yes love, honestly you haven't gotta be worrying if I'm upset or anything (laughs).
Rebecca: Ah, I just thought you'd be upset over Ted.
Edith: I am, I'm so gutted he's not here but we knew the score Becks, we knew one of us wasn't going to make it.
Rebecca: He was really proud of you ya know? We all are!
Edith: Thank you dear, I'm proud of you all too. You've all became like my -
Rebecca: Children?
Edith: Oi! I was gonna say siblings! (Laughs).
Rebecca: Haha, I love you so much Edith. I really hope you get far.


Edith: And you too dear. Imagine us two as the final two, wouldn't that be awesome?
Rebecca: (Laughs) It would be yeah. I have no idea how the finals gonna pan out.
Edith: Me neither my love. Lets get into the bath eh? We both stink.
Rebecca: (Laughs) It was really hot last night!

Lisa and Lloyd are in the lounge.


Lisa: How are you today love?
Lloyd: Really excited - don't know what's gonna happen tomorrow. I'm nervous.
Lisa: We shouldn't be nervous! We're gonna be at the final no matter what no. We should feel excited.
Lloyd: Yeah, that's very true. I wonder what Sim Brother has got in store for us over the next few days.
Lisa: Probably alot of fun stuff. I hope we get a final party.
Lloyd: Oh me too! I'll be really disappointed if they don't in all honesty.
Lisa: (Laughs) Me too.

Derek and Logan are in the garden.


Logan: It's really miserable today compared to how it's been the rest of the week.
Derek: I know, right? I hope it's nice for the final tomorrow.
Logan: Can you believe it? It's tomorrow! We've lasted fifty one days and have got the final staring right at our face.
Derek: It's amazing, I can't quite believe it in all honesty.
Logan: Me neither! It's gonna such a buzz tomorrow with all of us dressed up in our best.
Derek: I know, it's going to be incredible.
Logan: Ah man. I'm getting emotional (laughs).
Derek: Save it for tomorrow bud. Save it for tomorrow...

2:01pm:

All of the housemates are at the seating area.


Lisa: Jeez, I would of thought they would of given us something to do by now.
Rebecca: Me too (laughs). But they haven't. It's the final full day Sim Brother! Come on! Get into gear!
Logan: I'm quite disappointed.
Lloyd: Me too.
Derek: Oh look at you bundle of moaners! You don't honestly think they're not going to plan ANYTHING for the final night do you?
Edith: Derek's right, imagine how crap this highlights show would be on the finale if they didn't do anything special for us.
Lisa: (Laughs) Yeah that's true. I just wish they'd hurry up and do it.
Logan: I hope they give us a final dinner.
Sim Brother: This is Sim Brother, would housemates please make sure that they are in their formal wear this evening at 7pm as Sim Brother will be providing the housemates with a three course dinner.
Logan: Wahoo! Wow!
Sim Brother: The rest of the house besides the bathroom and bedroom will be out of bounds at 5pm.
Lloyd: Awesome!
Edith: This is gonna be brill!

7:05pm:

The housemates are enjoying their three course meal, they are on the starters and each housemate is talking about their experiences in the house.




Lloyd: Well, when I first entered I had no idea that I would last fifty odd days yet alone make the final! I'm so touched to be here right now and I can't wait to see how things are going to pan out tomorrow night. Obviously there are some people I'd like to be here, Cynthia for example. But other than that I couldn't have picked five better people to be in the final with.
Logan: Aww!
Edith: That was lovely Lloyd.
Rebecca: Yeah - it was sweet.

7:11pm:


Rebecca: I just want to say that being in here has been the bext experience of my life. I'm so emotional right now so I want to make this short - I love each and every single one of you and I will be happy for which ever one of us wins tomorrow night. I love you all. I've said that - but I do. You're all amazing people and like Lloyd said - I couldn't be here with better people.
Derek: Aww, Becks.
Edith: Hold back those tears love (laughs).
Rebecca: Sorry can't help it.
Logan: I'm getting emotional too (laughs). I just want to say how truly amazing it is to be here for the final full day - like Lloyd said I'd love for Tia to be here and what not but I'm so pleased I'm here with Derek, Lloyd and Lisa, three people who have been my best mates throughout the entire show and Edith and Rebecca - I love and respect you both so much. You're fantastic women and I really am so pleased you're both here tonight.
Edith: Aww.
Rebecca: Cheers Logan!

7:15pm:


Derek: My turn (laughs). I'm gonna make mine short. I love you all, I want you guys to do well, I'll be happy if any of you five win. You're amazing people and again - I love you.
Lisa: Aww Del boy!
Lloyd: Short but sweet!
Lisa: I just want to let you all know that I've had an amazing time, it honestly has been the bext experience of my life. I mean there's been down times like when I argued with Lee over steaks and when I evicted Vanessa which I'm so sorry for Derek and I hope that your wife will forgive me. But to be honest when I look around this room and see all of you it just reminds me how fantastic and how note worthy it is to be here on the final day. You're all amazing and once again I've rambled. So good luck one and all!
Logan: Aww.
Rebecca: You're so awesome Lisa.
Derek: And my wife would of forgiven you the moment she walked out of the house - we'll be having you round for dinner Lisa. Don't worry.
Lisa: Oh thank you so much. That means alot.


Edith: My speech is that you five kids are all fantastic and honestly the nicest bunch of people I've met, I love you all so much and good luck to the winner!
Lisa: Whoo!
Rebecca: That was great Edith.
Lloyd: These jellys are amazing!
Logan: I know! Tia makes them like this for me all the time.
Derek: I wonder if Sullivan made this meal for us (laughs).
Lloyd: It's good enough to be his!
(Music starts to play)
Edith: Oh my god! This was my mothers favourite song!
Derek: Lets all dance with each other eh?

Lisa: God I'm pissed already!
Logan: (Laughs) It's really strong.

11:34pm:

Edith and Logan are in bed.



The rest of the housemates are at the seating area.


Rebecca: Can you believe it guys? We've made it to the final day! It has literally just sunk in.
Lloyd: (Laughs) Only now? Even though we did all the speeches in that?
Rebecca: Yep - only now!
Lisa: I don't wanna go to sleep yet. I wouldn't be able to.
Rebecca: Me neither.
Derek: Sorry girls but I'm shattered and I wanna be wide awake for all of tomorrow. I'm gonna hit the hay.
Lloyd: Me too.
Lisa: (Laughs) Night boys.
Lloyd: Night night.

12:14am:

All of the housemates except Lisa and Rebecca are in bed.


Lisa: Oh god, it's our last sleeping in here.
Rebecca: (Laughs) I know. I know I've took Sullivan's bed since he went but - can I sleep with you? I'm so nervous and I dont want to sleep on my own (laughs).
Lisa: Yeah! I really would like some company too. How the other four can sleep alone tonight is beyond me...
Rebecca: (Laughs) I know.

12:40am:



All of the housemates are now asleep.


Davina: Oh god, I cried at the Frank Sinatra song! I admit! So that's the first part of the finale! I've got to head backstage and get ready for tonight, the ex-housemates are now arriving and the finalists are now showering and also getting ready. I'll see you at 7:30 when I'll be welcoming back the former housemates, we'll take a quick look at what the top six did today and then we'll discover who has finished in sixth place. I'll see you at 7:30, don't miss it!
